About the Position:
The Security & Safety Officer is responsible for the management of general safety of the property, clients, and the staff.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the transportation and Security/safety fields, previous experience with mental health/addiction clientele preferred. Previous experience/skills in the following areas: security operations/procedures, surveillance skills, execution of emergency procedures and ability to multi-task. To ensure success as a personal driver, you should possess outstanding communication and organizational abilities. Ultimately, a top-notch personal driver should monitor traffic reports on a regular basis and demonstrate familiarity with the area in which they work. Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as needed.

Education: This position requires a High School diploma or GED.
Special Skills & Knowledge: Candidates should have the following skills and attributes: strong attention to detail, conflict resolution, communication and active listening ability, as well as strong organizational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Flexibility a must. Willingness to learn and articulate basic mental health and substance abuse terminology, working knowledge of substance abuse recovery process and residential treatment culture, and empathy for individuals’ struggles through recovery.
Experience: 1+ years in security/safety-related field. 2+ years of driving experience preferred, must possess a valid driver’s license and meet insurance MVR requirements to drive for company.

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Position Duties and Responsibilities – Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Security/Safety duties:
Monitoring of the safety of the environment of care
Surveillance of utility systems including the boilers and fire safety equipment
Documentation of incidents
Communicate with department leaders to identify issues within the environment of care
Patrol all of the properties both inside and outside to ensure safety measures and that they are in good condition
Identify any risks and notify supervisor
Observe and report noncompliance with rules and policies related to emergency management and the environment of care
Orient new staff to environment of care plans and emergency management plan as part of the orientation process
Monitoring of surveillance cameras throughout working hours
Environmental tours/rounds and documentation of findings
Driving duties:
Drives guests to and from appointments
Delivers the medical tests to the mail delivery station
Oversees vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
Maintain safe vehicles and travel
Organize schedule and time frame based upon travel times to locations needed.
Assist in retrieving pharmaceuticals from pharmacy
Additional services needed by RA’s and Hospitality teams
Performs on-call transportation for PHP clients

Hourly pay range: $23 – $29/ hr
$2.00/hour additional 8pm-8am
