This position is responsible for managing the front desk operations of Hotel Columbia, including guest check-ins, guest relations, and problem resolution, for fostering a welcoming hotel environment that exceeds guest expectations. The Front Desk Supervisor participates in the recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of Front Desk Agent positions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager.
May hire, train, and coach staff or assist GM with this process.
Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day workflow of staff in the department.
As requested by the General Manager, conduct or assist with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Assists the General Manager with employment actions, including discipline and termination of employees per company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Coordinate staff schedules according to business levels and solve scheduling conflicts, with the flexibility to cover shifts.
Professionally respond to and resolve guest service requests, complaints, property issues, and special requests.
Responsible for the direction of unit inspections for arrivals and coordinating room conditions with housekeeping.
Coordinate with maintenance staff and outside vendors on property repairs and upcoming projects.
Maintain inventory and ordering of office supplies.
Knowledge of the property, including, but not limited to, basic troubleshooting of Wi-Fi routers, TVs, appliances, and thermostats.
Maintain clean and neat front desk and lobby area.
Exhibit strong knowledge of Telluride and the surrounding area to promote additional activities and services.
Assist with front desk duties, including guest relations and check-in/out process, and accurately handle cash and credit card payments.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Requirements:
EDUCATION: 4-year degree or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE: At least 3-years of customer service experience
REQUIRED SKILLS: Proficient in computer use, flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and Holidays, strong attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
PREFERRED SKILLS: Top-level custom service, excellent communication skills, polite, patient, knowledge of property management software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to ascend/descend stairs and lift/carry/push/pull 20 pounds.
