Summary  
The Director of Wardrobe oversees the operation of the ASC wardrobe department. The role assures that all ASC employees receive a uniform that represents ASC’s brand values. The role also collaborates with ASC departments to coordinate and manage ASC uniform needs. The ideal candidate is expected to guide and promote a culture of professionalism and exceptional internal guest service. The position reports the Director of Purchasing. 

The budgeted salary range for this position is $71,971 to $100,759. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.  

Essential Job Functions 

  • Emphasize exceptional guest service throughout the uniform cycle, including check out process, check in/return process, collections, accommodations for extenuating circumstances, changes with needs and availability during operational hours to accomplish all of the above.
  • Ability to collaborate with operational departments to reduce transaction impact for our employees.
  • Guides all ASC departments uniform programs across ASC platform.
  • Evaluate and coordinate uniform supply program for all Mountain and Hospitality locations.  Own opportunities to expand ASC uniform program in current and future departments. Look for opportunities to leverage spend for initial purchases and how to support remote operations (TLN, LL’s, etc).
  • Looks for ways to better manage disposable uniform pieces.
  • Manage seasonal surveys of uniforms and employee feedback. Provide analysis and summary of uniform performance.
  • Oversees real-time uniform inventory. Accurately manage and maintain real-time inventory system for all ASC uniform pieces. Provide uniform inventory updates to management as needed.  
  • Maintains accurate uniform inventory information. Completes full inventory periodically, establishes par levels, sewing systems, and accounts for loss or damage.
  • Prepares purchase orders, provide analytical back-up as needed, orders replacement items, receives shipments, audits invoices, prepares receivers and authorizes payment.
  • Develop and manage uniform cycle and department budgets.
  • Uses resources efficiently to maintain appropriate inventory levels and sizing options while minimizing inventory expense.
  • Coordinates with all department managers to ensure that uniforms for all positions are updated and accurately listed on uniform lists.
  • Responsible for the day to day operation of the Wardrobe Department including daily priorities, staff schedule, and special projects.
  • Trains and manages all uniform clerks, seamstresses, and laundry services personnel in all aspects of the positions job tasks.  
  • Supervises the issuing, hemming and repairing of employee uniforms, and laundry services. Assist ASC Guest Service with the repair or laundering of guest’s items that may have been damage by ASC.  
  • Maintains a clean, safe work environment.
  • Maintains up to date and accurate files and records on all aspects of the operation.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3 years management or equivalent experience supplemented by college level courses.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in resort/hospitality preferred.
  • Solid fundamental knowledge of standard uniform construction, handling and cleaning methods.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with department managers, Team Members, and the general public.
  • Computer proficiency with knowledge of all MS Office products and database management.
  • Able to prioritize work-load & have the ability to multi-task.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented and highly collaborative work style.
  • Knowledge of purchasing and inventory control. Knowledge of garment and fabric care preferred.
  • Ability to develop long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments.
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
