The 3 & 4 Year Old Supervisor leads and supports pros and inside support team to deliver exceptional guest services and operational excellence. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the inside and outside coordination of the 3 & 4 year old ski program, including actively building a dynamic and cohesive team that solves problems creatively and implements new ideas, and spends time building relationships between Pros and guests. The ideal candidate has a PSIA certification or a background in education with a proven track record of building and promoting a healthy and supportive culture of professionalism, excellence, collaboration, and trust. A passion for working with young children is essential.
*The budgeted salary range for this position is $60,656 – $66,721. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
Organize and prioritize operational requirements based on departmental SOP’s, end of season analysis, and departmental initiatives as prescribed
Supervise, schedule and staff a team of pros to meet daily operational needs and assist in maintaining scheduling accuracy throughout the season
Support business growth, guest experience, and expense management through scheduling, staffing, and assigning
Support divisional staffing through recruiting, training, developing, scheduling and evaluating employees
Promote excellence in guest service, evaluate experiences, resolve guest concerns when they arise
Actively observe guest experience and Pro performance at key times of each day
Be present, available, and engaged with Pros and guests, on hill and in a supportive leadership capacity
Ensure that essential information is communicated frequently and accurately
Act as a resource/mentor and provide guidance and direction to team members; including to Academy training, PSIA certification, Stage IV and Trainer pathway mentorship
Collaborate with other departments to execute operations and expand product knowledge and understanding as needed
Assist sales and reservations, payroll, and other ski school support departments as needed in areas of shared ownership
Understand, communicate, and support a culture of risk management
Participate and take a leadership role in employee recognition, disciplinary action and performance management
Act in the best interest of ASC in growth and protection of current ASC business, including sales and investigating underground teaching
Conduct thorough end-of-season analysis of individual and departmental strengths and opportunities in support of the off-season evaluation and planning cycle
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 seasons in the winter sports industry required
High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
Strong computer skills including Point of Sale software, scheduling software, email, Microsoft products and other computer programs required
Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification, level 2 (or higher) preferred
Demonstrated experience working with children 6 & under preferred

Supervision Given and Received
Supervision given: Exercises general supervision over ski/snowboard Pros. Assigns a variety of routine tasks, sets general expectations of results according to company policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Supervision received: Works under general supervision of the Program Manager. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time
Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
