Accounting Manager Responsibilities Include (But are not limited to):

  • Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable records
  • Communicate with customers and vendors to arrange payments
  • Processing invoices for payment with accurate recording
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties, such as account maintenance, recording entries and books of accounts
  • Maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded
  • Enter timesheets into timekeeping systems for field employees
  • Enter vendor bills
  • Primary oversight ensuring daily, weekly and monthly accounting work is completed timely and accurately.
  • Work dutifully to ensure draws, job coding, and month-end close is complete and accurate
  • Manages and coaches staff to achieve their best
  • Maximizes return, and limits risk, tightly manages human capital and cash account.
  • Budget, draws, forecasting and reporting
  • Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Works with CFO/CEO to provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
  • Creating benchmarks and other analytics to track on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Assist in generating monthly/yearly financial statements for CFO and CEO.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Ops and Finance
  • Excellent knowledge of QBO
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls

 

  • Experience: At least 5+ years of relevant Accounting experience, 2+ years of experience and Construction Accounting Background preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a CPA (preferred)
  • Location:  Vail, Colorado
  • Bonus Skills: -Strong knowledge of ERPs -Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables and V-Lookups) -Strong understanding of construction environment; COGS experience highly preferred -Experience in AP, AR, POs, Cash Management and Sales and Use Tax returns.  -Has a high level of Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong aptitude to learn technical aspects quickly -Quickbooks Online experience
