Summary Description:  Reporting to the Area Manager, this position is responsible for the overall operational and merchandising functions of the store to achieve maximum profitability and to continue to provide the best-in-class guest service.  Responsibilities include generating sales and growth of the store by managing inventory control, expenses, cash management, loss prevention, store appearance, budgets, and hiring, training, and coaching a quality core staff.  This store is open from October through April.  During the off season, the store manager will transfer to another store in Crested Butte for the summer season. 

Job Responsibilities:

Generate sales, and demonstrate and maintain a professional standard of guest service
Evaluate sales trends and create methods for sales growth
Hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, leading and maintaining a high-quality staff
Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and regularly reviewing job results.
Function as a training resource for employees in POS, product knowledge, and sales
Communicate company values and goals to the employees
Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures including paperwork according to company policies and standards.
Monitor and control expenses as set within the budget to include operational and payroll.
Administer company procedures, including cash handling, safety, and loss prevention
Maintain merchandising and cleanliness standards
Manage inventory control and meet or exceed inventory goals
Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products and industry trends
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years of retail experience in a best-in-class customer focus environment in the snow sports industry.
Minimum of three years of supervisory/management experience.
Ability to manage confidential information.
Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems is preferred
Ability to work a flexible schedule which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
English fluency, written and verbal
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and regularly lift up to 25 pounds
