Job Title: Wheeler Ticketing Coordinator

Department: Wheeler Opera House

Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Summary: Assists the Wheeler Ticketing Supervisor with daily operations, ticket sales, and offsite-event support through the Wheeler’s Aspen Show Tickets box office, consistent with the organization’s values and mission statement.

Supervision Exercised and Received: Position works under the general direction of the Wheeler Ticketing Supervisor. Position serves as a lead worker over the Box Office Staff in the absence of the Wheeler Ticketing Supervisor.

Hiring Range: $22.85-$25.70

Pay Range: $22.85-$34.27

 
Essential Job Functions: 

Operations

Assists in preparing Box Office staff for events. Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with current and potential Wheeler clientele. Assists in resolving customer and patron complaints and assists in resolving any emergent challenges that may arise. Assists in filling client requests and day-to-day ticket sales. Operates a vehicle and travels to off-site locations to perform Box Office operations. 
Box Office Administration

Supports and maintains the computerized ticket system including event set-up, ticket design, sales, reconciliations, and reporting.  Inputs show information and visual media for Aspen Show Tickets website. May be requested to open and close ticket office, process ticket mailings, and/or manage cash-outs in the absence of other personnel. Oversees the preparation and reconciliation of daily deposits and financial business for the box office as needed.  Maintains accuracy in a fast paced customer service environment.
Department Support

Assists ticket staff when needed.  Interfaces with other Wheeler supervisors and staff for successful communication and provides any department support when needed. Oversees department in Manager’s absence and coordinates activities of temporary and contracted staff including assisting with interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and training staff when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience: Two years of experience in at least three of the following: customer service, cash management, database management, or marketing.

Technical Knowledge: Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, graphic design software, sales management software, and Outlook (Email). Must have a basic understanding of computers and online computer-based technology applications, which includes accessing web-based platforms.  Ability to efficiently operate any ticketing production technology, such as ticket creating software, and printing software.

Licenses & Certifications: Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of start date.

NOTE: Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required abilities, knowledge, and skills as determined by the City of Aspen may be substituted for the requirements above.

Preferred Candidate: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or another related field.

NOTE: This position requires a Criminal Background Check upon hire.  Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Criminal Background Check.

Position Type and Work Hours:

Regular full time, hours and days may vary with workload.
Evenings/Weekends will occasionally be required depending on department needs and special projects.
Holidays and overtime will occasionally be required depending on special events or staffing needs.

Indoors: Wheeler Opera House; office environment.
Outdoors/Off-Site: Meetings, trainings, and events management of off-site clients visits at a variety of city facilities.
