This position helps people discover their talent and passions,
connect them with opportunities to build skills, and ultimately, coaches
job seekers on finding and keeping a great job. Ability to work
independently, familiarity with the local labor market, a drive to help
others, and strong attention to detail are the key skills for this role. The
position works with all populations of job seekers, with a focus on
harder-to-serve populations. The goal: to assist individuals in overcoming
barriers to employment through training and support. People with barriers to
employment include those with economic barriers, digital literacy
barriers, disabilities, cultural barriers (such as English is not their
first language), and people from a variety of different socio-economic
backgrounds. This position interprets federal regulations and delivers
services based on state program guidance, policies, and procedures. This
position is a Case Manager for WIOA Title I funding. It has fiduciary
responsibility for participant expenditures under WIOA Title I, TAA and
grant programs. This position works closely with partner agencies in the
coordination of services and programs for the benefit of individuals and the
community. It also works with local businesses to fill available positions
with qualified candidates and engages business participation in workforce
development efforts.

To foster business-focused workforce partnerships, effectively preparing rural Coloradans for the jobs of today and tomorrow by delivering a comprehensive array of employment and training services. Works with job-seeking candidates to enhance their employability and achieve their employment goals, provides customer service to program candidates, businesses, and the community. There will be some travel.

SKILLS REQUIRED: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or
university in the field of psychology, counseling, social services,
human resources, education, business or other related field AND one year
of professional experience providing customer service, coaching or
counseling. Substitutions: a Master’s degree in psychology,
counseling, social services, human resources, education, business or
other related fields of study may substitute for one year of the required
experience. Must be able to read, interpret and apply local, state and
federal program guidance and strong writing skills. Excellent interpersonal
skills, attention to detail and people-oriented.

Proficiency in the following computer software: Microsoft Suite (focusing
on Word and Excel) and Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets,
Drive). Your experience must be clearly documented on your application.

Must be a Colorado resident at the time of application.
Valid Colorado Drivers License. As a condition of employment, you must
successfully pass a background check.
