POSITION OVERVIEW: 
Through the Rural Action Network (RAN), CRC convenes a powerful, dynamic, and responsive network of nonprofits, community and government leaders, funders, and changemakers to tackle persistent issues in regions, develop and cultivate rural leadership, align and increase the giving of philanthropy with the needs of rural nonprofits, and support thriving, just communities across rural Colorado. The RAN umbrella of programming includes Rural Philanthropy Days, the work of our ongoing rural Regional Leadership Committees (RLCs), Virtual Funder Roundtables, and a Rural Advisory Committee.

This position supports the execution of the Rural Action Network (RAN) program activities including convening eight regional planning committees, two regional Rural Philanthropy Days Conferences, Virtual Funder Roundtables, and regionally led statewide trainings and convenings. The Rural Action Network Coordinator role provides event and meeting coordination, customer service, and logistical support to the Rural Action Network. This position reports to the Senior Program Director and works closely with Regional Event Coordinators and the Rural Action Network Coordinator.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Support the work of RAN committees, in partnership with the RAN team, to execute their vision
-Organize in person and virtual training, summits, and conferences, develop proposal materials, and draft community surveys
-Develop meeting agendas, co-facilitate meetings, take notes and advance action items in partnership with the RAN team
-Support the work of the statewide data mapping project of research on giving trends in rural Colorado to strengthen rural philanthropy
-Provide excellent customer service
-Register CRC partners via phone, email, and in person
-Coordinate in-person events: draft event plans, book venues, organize catering and accommodations, prepare and print materials and nametags, setup rooms
-Coordinate regular data collection and evaluation of the RAN program
-Coordinate virtual gatherings including Zoom management, chat management, day-of technical support, reminder emails, meeting notes, and follow up communications
-Build and coordinate registrations in CRC’s online event registration system
-Coordinate with trainers and support their logistical and facilitation needs
-Update slides and handouts according to trainers and speaker direction
-Create program and event evaluation forms, enter data, and generate reports
-Support the creation of outreach materials, emails, social media, and communications

Other Responsibilities:   
-Schedule appointments, support workflow of contracts and invoices
-Support financial needs: inform and monitor event budgets, create check and invoice requests, and code receipts
-Participate in regular team and staff meetings
-Complete weekly activity report
-Participate on the Program Team, and provide support to other CRC initiatives

Experience & Skill Requirements:  
-Strong organization, prioritization, problem solving and attention to detail skills
-Ability to work well with a diverse group of people in a highly collaborative environment
-Minimum of two years of nonprofit, community engagement, education/training, or event planning experience
-Tech savvy with a strong command of collaborative technology including MS Office 365,Google Suite, and Zoom
-Experience living or working in a rural community
-Experience working with nonprofit organizations
-Experience working with diverse communities
-Problem solving and ability to make informed, culturally competent decisions
-Strong written and verbal communication skills

Position Requirements 
-Proof of COVID 19 Vaccination with Booster or Proof of Qualifying Exemption
-Work remote with internet service and a reasonable remote workspace
-Colorado residency
-Provide proof of legal ability to work in the United State of America
-Provide two references
-Valid Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance; and access to reliable transportation
-Some evenings and/or weekend work
-Attendance at in-person events and meetings

Preferred Qualifications: 
-Fluency in English and Spanish
-Experience with adult education, training and group facilitation
-Experience with budget and contract management

Work Location, Schedule, and Environment:  
-Hybrid work, primarily a remote position with required participation at 6-8 in person meetings or events
-Remote meetings will require work in a home office setting
-Working on a computer for multiple hours at a time, sitting or standing
-Wearing a mask when required by CRC policies
-Bending, twisting, and lifting associated with event site setup
-Indoor/outdoor work with varying temperatures and noise levels at large events
-Capacity to work in a fast paced, fluid and changing environment

Compensation & Benefits: 
Salary Range: $20-$21 per hour
Benefits: Health Time, Personal Time and 11 CRC Holidays (prorated for part-time), Simple IRA plan with a 2% match, $20 per month phone/ internet stipend, Long Term Disability Insurance (premiums paid by CRC), Employee Assistance Program and health insurance plan (50% of base plan premiums paid by CRC).
