This position requires the knowledge of or ability to learn the following:

  • Operate water and wastewater treatment facilities and sanitary collection and water distribution systems.
  • Monitor water and wastewater treatment plant processes, collect process water samples, perform laboratory analysis, and interpret results. Learn to adjust and optimize water and wastewater treatment system processes based on laboratory results and Operator observations of process conditions to ensure regulatory compliance with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).
  • Operate/Maintain/Repair groundwater wells, pump station, chemical, and wastewater process equipment.

In Addition, reliability and honesty are paramount as this position is responsible for public and environmental health and safety.
