We are looking for a Client Engagement Specialist to join our team and provide exceptional customer service to residents seeking assistance with economic programs and resources.

Economic Services (a division within the Department of Human Services) is responsible for administering a range of critical public assistance programs including Cash, Child Care, Emergency, Energy, Food and Medical Assistance, as well as connecting customers to other vital resources and supports.

The Client Engagement Specialist is the primary point of contact for individuals seeking assistance from Economic Services in Eagle County. This role involves handling client inquiries, processing applications, scheduling appointments, and providing information about available programs and resources. The Client Engagement Team is the public ‘face and voice’ of Economic Services. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent customer service skills and the ability to navigate complex systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in-person, virtually, and by phone
  • Answer questions, schedule appointments, and resolve client issues
  • Manage client documents and referrals
  • Assist with public assistance programs like SNAP and Medicaid
  • Requires travel to locations within Eagle County.
    • The position will variously work out of the main ES operation located in Eagle and/or the satellite ES office located in Avon depending on operational and client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • 2+ years of customer service or related experience (human services preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Google Suite
