Position Summary:
The Cafeteria Manager (Float) serves as the primary substitute for food service operations across multiple locations within the region. This role involves supervising cafeteria staff, ensuring compliance with National School Lunch Program regulations, maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety, and organizing daily meal production to meet school needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead substitute manager for school cafeterias in your region.
  • Supervise and train food service staff, including recruitment, evaluation, and discipline.
  • Plan and oversee daily meal production to ensure quality, minimize waste, and meet meal demands.
  • Manage inventory, food orders, revenue deposits, and operational reports.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain a welcoming and efficient kitchen and dining environment.

Qualifications:

  • ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • High school diploma/GED with strong reading, writing, and math skills.
  • 2 years of food production experience, including 6 months in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency with computers, time management, and delegation.
