As the Catering Sales Manager, you will energize client relationships through sales calls, entertainment, and FAM trips to secure future bookings. You’ll expand our customer base by building local community ties and generate new leads for catering. You’ll maximize revenue by adhering to booking guidelines and respond quickly to leads, presenting proposals, contracts, and pricing with flair. Conducting compelling site tours and providing clear turnover to Event Management and group reservations are key. You’ll also keep Department Heads informed and resolve discrepancies during weekly business reviews and staff meetings.

Location: The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa – Avon, CO

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Status: Full Time, Year Round

Pay Rate: Starting at $63,000 DOE, plus quarterly bonus potential up to 20% of salary

Schedule: Mostly Tuesday through Saturdays 8:30am-5pm 

Minimum Requirements 
Successful candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or business, or bring 3 years of relevant experience. Preferably, have two years of combined experience in events within an upscale establishment. Use analytical skills to measure business potential and hotel value, and present information effectively to top-level clients and colleagues. Understand departmental interaction and organizational structure in a hospitality context. Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Marriott systems is a plus. Communicate with guests in a friendly and positive manner, both in writing and verbally, to meet/exceed client needs while supporting resort business goals through strong probing and negotiation skills. Read, analyze, and interpret scientific, technical, and legal documents, expertly resolve customer complaints, and possess a self-motivated and competitive drive.
