Primary Function

The IT Coordinator performs various tasks to maintain IT systems, including installing and configuring software and hardware, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support and training. The IT Coordinator will ensure functionality of the computer and telecom systems while maintaining positive relationships with all 3rd party technical vendors.

Technical Proficiency & Innovation – Strong understanding of various hardware, software and networking systems in order to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth operations. Stay updated on current and emerging technologies and leverage them to drive innovation within the Resort.
Project Management – Able to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
Network Security – Stay updated on cybersecurity practices, ensuring the Resort’s network remains secure. Able to implement security protocols, monitor for breaches and respond to security incidents promptly.
Interpersonal Communication – Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners.
Problem Solving – Identify, analyze and resolve problems using logical, creative and systematic approaches.
Critical Thinking – Make sound decisions under pressure through the use of analytical thinking and troubleshooting.
System Administration – Ensure all systems operate smoothly by managing the day-to-day operations of the IT systems, including servers, databases and applications.
Vendor Management – Coordinate with external vendors for procurement and maintenance of equipment and services.
 

Reporting and Accountability
The IT Coordinator reports to and is accountable to the Director of Finance.

Authority
The IT Coordinator has the support and authority necessary to carry out the responsibilities and tasks described in this job description and other responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Finance.

Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds
Frequently grasp, hold, and reach
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to navigate the Resort facility
Frequently bend, squat and stoop
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and read instructions.
Ability to hear and talk, in person and on the phone.
 
Educational Requirements
Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, preferred.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT support, network management, or system administration, required.

Work Hours and Days
The IT Coordinator’s work hours and days are generally fixed with flexibility required to accommodate closings, critical dates, and other responsibilities as part of the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort team.
