Primary Function
Maintain the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge buildings and associated equipment and appliances in a working, attractive and safe manner at all times.

Reporting and Accountability
The Lodge Maintenance Technician reports to, and is accountable to the Lodge Maintenance Supervisor.

Authority
The Lodge Maintenance Technician has the support and authority necessary to carry out the responsibilities and tasks described in this job description and other responsibilities of the Lodge maintenance department, as assigned by the Supervisor.

Physical Requirements

  • Adequate physical agility to perform normal maintenance activities such as climbing ladders, kneeling, reaching, lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, using hand tools and power tools, etc.
  • Ability to push, pull, carry and lift 45 pounds.
  • Current and valid Colorado driver’s license with excellent driving record
    Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and follow verbal or written instructions.

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent

Other Requirements

  • Basic mechanical ability and dexterity.
  • More maintenance experience can positively affect job level.
  • Prefer maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, construction, and general maintenance.
  • Adequate computer skills to be able to perform necessary department computer tasks (for example, logging maintenance activities, inputting time records, inputting preventative maintenance and service information, etc.)
  • Prefer one or two years’ experience in facility maintenance.

Work Hours and Days
Since the maintenance of the Lodge facilities takes place both during operating and non-operating hours, the Maintenance Tech’s work hours and days must be flexible, including nights and weekends, to meet the needs of the Lodge Maintenance Department.
