Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties personally or through  supervisors.

  • Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
  • On-boards new and rehires.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental, vision and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave and leave of absence.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and harassment.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
  • Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate. • Assists in preparing budget of human resources operations.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Administers semi-monthly payroll.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting comply.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualification Skills & Abilities:

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills Proficient in all computer applications. Specifically in HRIS, such as ADP WorkforceNow strongly preferred.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: SHRM-CP, Human Resources Certificate, PHR or SPHR preferred.

Pay will be depending on experience, and will also include benefits, such as paid sick leave, paid vacation time off, health insurance approximately $6180, ski or parking pass up to $783 annually. Additionally, store discounts and many more are available.
