Part-Time Marketing and Membership Specialist

The Gypsum Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking an experienced Part-Time Marketing and Membership Specialist.

Successful candidates must have proven experience in managing digital media programs across various digital channels, the ability to plan and coordinate successful events and meetings locally, strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and has a deep understanding of how to use the relevant social media channels to run successful campaigns.

This position is part-time, working 10-15 hours per week.  The location is primarily remote work with the expectation to attend local events and meetings (Gypsum area). 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and send Weekly Digital Newsletters for distribution on Wednesday.
• E-Blast communication of special events.
  Chamber event updates and management via Social Media communication.
• Attend and present updates at the monthly Chamber Board meetings (typically held 2nd Wednesday at 9am).
• Meet with existing and prospective Chamber members to outline the Chamber membership benefits and media needs.
• Coordinate and host monthly Chamber mixers (generally evening events).  This includes set-up, breakdown, participant check-in management and answering questions from attendees, and marketing duties such as taking photos and conducting video interviews with attendees.
• Coordinate and host quarterly Chamber Luncheon mixers. This includes set-up, breakdown, participant check-in management and answering questions from attendees, and marketing duties such as taking photos and conducting video interviews with attendees.
• Coordinate and host Occasional special events.
• Create and electronically market target survey’s.
• Create and distribute Digital Media content.
• Chamber Website updates and maintenance.
• Acts as a liaison between the Chamber Board and the Chamber Ambassadors.
• Attend Ambassador meetings held every 2 months.
   

Education, Training, and Experience:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in digital media
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in coordinating events and meetings

Compensation and Benefits:

The nonexempt, hourly pay range for this position is $24.00 per hour. Benefits include a flexible work schedule and paid sick leave accrual.
