As a member of the Family Services team, the Community Resource Coordinator is responsible for implementing and refining Building Futures, a newly created program to connect community members with community support services. The primary objective of this position is to empower community members, applicants, and homeowners to develop self-sufficiency, increase access to community opportunities and resources, and promote education in personal finance. Job Duties

  • Improve and refine the existing framework of the program to better align with program goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the families and/or individuals participating in the Building Futures program.
  • Work collaboratively with partner organizations to identify gaps in services, barriers to access, and help streamline client intake and referral processes.
  • Stay up to date on current services offered by other community organizations/service providers.
  • Assist with the development of evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of the program and ensure program aligns with goals.
  • Help determine annual program capacity with current resources and help develop growth strategy.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HFHVV’s policies.
  • Participate in community events to help promote the Building Futures program and strengthen HFHVV’s relationship in the community.

Required Competencies

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) – Advanced English speaker with intermediate English reading and writing skills.
  • Willingness to use learned experience as well as research to develop methods for how families are served.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and organizations to meet community needs and ensure services are not duplicated.
  • Must be person-centered with the ability to actively listen to clients, be able to ask deep questions, and meet clients where they are.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred competencies:

  • Seeking an applicant with extensive experience, preferably lived experience, and cultural knowledge in a variety of Latino/ Hispanic/ Latina/ Latinx cultures.
  • Basic computer skills, MS Office, email, basic excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to compose professional email in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to attend after-hours or off-site meetings as needed on an occasional basis.

Compensation & Benefits This is a full-time, salaried position based at our affiliate office in Avon, CO. The salary range for this position is currently $49,923 – $65,885 per year. Initial compensation is determined based on the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience. Benefits offered include health insurance, life insurance, retirement plan with 6% employer match, up to 6 weeks of vacation, holiday, and sick time, paid medical leave and more.
