- We are seeking a passionate & experienced leader to help build our outdoor activity program, with unwavering enthusiasm and focus on creating memorable experiences for our guests & employees. - In this role, you will help directly oversee the daily outdoor operations of the tubing park & mountain coaster including managing lift operations, staffing levels, grooming, and equipment maintenance. In the Manager’s absence this role performs the role of Manager on duty. This position requires business management skills and knowledge of operations, maintenance, safety, staffing, and financial responsibility in line with the goals of the company. The assistant manager has responsibility for providing an outstanding experience through superior guest service as well as a positive work environment for staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years in experience is Ski/snow, adventure activities or other attractions industry. Experience working in adventure sports preferred.
- Minimum 1-year experience managing a line level staff required, including scheduling, hiring, and performance management.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and positively with guests of all ages and skill levels.
- Must have a high level of initiative and independent judgement.
- Must be able to identify object dangers and follow strict safety protocols.
- Must be able to respond to mechanical or medical emergencies as necessary.
- Proven leadership experience in managing employees and fostering teamwork.
- Ability to effectively resolve guest concerns and maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Comfortable and confident in controlling large groups in a friendly and organized manner.
- Strong background in maintenance and proficient use of power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and staff.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, shoveling snow, and working in varying weather conditions, including direct sun and adverse weather.
- Familiarity with snow removal equipment preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in a ski resort setting.
- CPR and First Aid Certification required (before program begins, training provided by MMSA)
