Full-Time Montessori Assistant or a Credentialed Guide
We are looking for a Full-time Teaching Assistant or a Credentialed Guide to team with one of our classroom Guides (lead teacher) in cultivating a vibrant, child-centered environment. Their primary focus is to assist the Guide with preparing the learning environment before students arrive and working to maintain order/manage the materials and environment throughout the day. They also will assist in monitoring student development, classroom activities, daily schedule, and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum.ย
It is crucial to exhibit authentic enthusiasm to develop your knowledge of the Montessori curriculum and this specific age group (3-6 years). School hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
Your Qualifications:
- Previous experience with children or a related field (familiarity or training with the Montessori approach to education is preferred, but not required)
- Excellent communication skills to interact with co-teachers, parents, and children
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team (we value diversity in backgrounds and experiences)
- Able to lift 35 pounds and physically move throughout the day
