Position Summary
This 32 hours per week, on average, hourly position supports the mission of the organization by building rapport and connections amongst the internal Mountain Youth team, focuses on building and maintaining partnerships, as well as creating supports for families through coordinating and facilitating prevention and intervention programs. This position reports to the Director of Community Education.

Position Responsibilities:
Focus Area 1: Family Health, Connections, and Engagement
Goal- Enhance connections and educational support systems for youth and families to live healthier lives.
Manage family prevention and intervention opportunities in English and Spanish.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Coordinate intervention program delivery, which may be inclusive of and not limited to We Hear U, Prime for Life, Guiding Good Choices, safe driving and vaping cessation programs
oย Coordinate intake and scheduling process with referring agencies, families, and facilitators
Focus Area 2: Youth Health and Education
Goal- Enhance student skills-building and education via school-based life skills and social-emotional learning opportunities.
Facilitate relationships with school partners and program facilitators to deliver school-based programs.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Coordinate prevention programs including life skills, substance use prevention, young driver safety education and additional prevention curricula
Overall Program Management Responsibilities:
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Relationship Cultivation: Build and maintain relationships with schools, partners, and facilitators to ensure successful prevention and early intervention programs for youth and families. Serve as primary conduit between Mountain Youth and schools.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Strategic planning: Oversee development and growth of programs, including goals, objectives, and inclusion in strategic plans, as identified by community assessments, to students in elementary through high school and their families.
oย Monitor program effectiveness, review evaluation results, and explore program adaptations with schools, partners, and Director of Community Education to increase program effectiveness.
oย Attend trainings to support program development, facilitation and evaluation skills.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Program Oversight: Recruit, train, manage and support facilitators to deliver evidence-based programming with fidelity.
oย Oversee professional development and training plan for facilitators
oย Providing coaching of facilitators and monitoring programs
oย Deliver programs as schedule allows, on an as-needed basis
oย Coordinate program supplies and materials to fulfill each program
oย Ensure survey completion, update tracking tools, and support completion of evaluation and grant reports with program information in partnership with Director of Strategic Impact
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Referral Coordination: Work with schools and partners to refer youth and families who may need targeted prevention or early intervention programs, as concerns arise, and coordinate delivery of services.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Collaborative Efforts: Participate and engage in community outreach efforts, build and maintain relationships with schools, partner organizations, and community leaders.
oย Participate in community-wide resource connection and referral efforts (i.e.: Mountain Safe, Resource Directory Committee, Youth Violence Prevention Collaboration, and others as requested)
oย Work with schools, community partners, and facilitators for collaborations related to programs, including behavioral education partners
Additional Qualifications:
Interest in and commitment to positive youth, family and community development, and overall community health and safety. Bilingual English/ Spanish language speaking and multicultural preferred. Experience in nonprofit organizations, community building, program management, youth development, substance use prevention, or family education strategies preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and training.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Willingness to travel throughout the Eagle River Valley and occasionally regionally and statewide for meetings, programs, events, trainings and conferences
Compensation and Benefits:
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย This full-time hourly role will require 32-40 hours per week during the school year. Candidates should prioritize availability during school hours and school calendar. There is flexibility in summer work from 10-32 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work commitments may be expected, hours may vary depending on the program and responsibilities. This position is based in Eagle County.ย
