Position Title: Paid Mentor – Part Time

Summary: School Based Mentors (SBMs) provide one-to-one mentoring for 10 target students & additional school programming based on school needs. For more info on the program and Partners organization, please visit: http://partnersyouth.org.

Terms: August 12, 2024-June 6, 2025. Average of 20-25 hours/week – $20-21/hour.

Locations: Routt and Moffat County Schools

Responsibilities:

● Build relationships and implement programming that supports the young people in schools

● Support target students through the use of Individual 1:1 support (social emotional, academic,

behavioral), classroom support, and other activities that support academic success.

● Provide character building, guidance and goal development, and support to their caseload of 10 target

students.

● Create and maintain Target Student case records

● Distribute and collect organizational forms, surveys and maintaining case records

● Organize and implement in-school and/or after-school clubs, activities or peer mentor programming

which may include both target and non-target student participants.

● Attend weekly Partners staff meetings

Qualifications:

● Interest in and passion for serving school aged, underserved youth

● A desire to pursue a career in the field of education, counseling and/or nonprofit management

● Ability to communicate with parents and school staff and work within multiple organizational systems

● Successful Completion of Partners Screening Process to work with youth in a school system

● Reliable vehicle & driver’s license strongly recommended
