Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant / Controller at Secret Creek. The Senior Accountant / Controller will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations, overseeing financial reporting, managing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is located in Montrose, Colorado.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes efficiently.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
Utilize accounting software to streamline financial operations.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as needed.
Collaborate with team members to enhance financial reporting practices.
 

Qualifications

Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Forecasting skills
Experience in managing accounting and financial systems
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial laws
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required. Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field a plus. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience: five years of experience of finance or accounting management experience required.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday (40 hours). This is an exempt position that may run into additional hours as needed to complete deadlines/goals.
