Wanted: Well-balanced yet experienced Senior Planner with a great attitude, prodigious skills with data analytics and graphics, reasonably witty, great writer, willing to perform innovative long-range planning and live in the most beautiful county on earth (with no state income tax!).
Teton County, WY has an innovative Comprehensive Plan jointly adopted with the Town of Jackson. The Senior Long-Range Planner is a jointly-funded position, and will have an opportunity to work on projects both within unincorporated Teton County and in the Town of Jackson. In addition to the Comprehensive Plan, Jackson Hole (as this corner of heaven is called) also has a joint Affordable Housing program and Integrated Transportation Plan. This structure allows all long-range planning issues to be considered holistically.
The Senior Long-Range Planner is heavily involved in preparing our community’s Annual Indicator Report which is an important part of the Adaptive Management Program to implement the Comprehensive Plan, and in developing the Annual Work Plan. Other important issues that the Senior Long-Range Planner works on include Ecosystems Stewardship issues, conservation easements, and zoning text and map amendments to implement the Comprehensive Plan.
