Are you interested in becoming a police officer with the nationally accredited Avon Police Department? Now is your time! We are looking for an exceptional person to join our diverse and motivated team!

If you want to be a community focused police officer, who enjoys communication and interacting with your community, we would love to speak with you. Police officers face new and exciting challenges every day. We are guardians, investigators, counselors, community ambassadors, mental health advocates, crisis intervention specialists, incident commanders, and on occasion warriors when called on to protect our community. We work to have coordinated collaborative mental health response approaches to help solve problems, not to create them. We treat all persons with dignity and respect. Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age at time of appointment, a United States Citizen, posses a valid Colorado driver’s license, and pass entry-level exams to include psychological exam, polygraph exam, doctor’s physical, written exam, oral board exam, physical ability exam, and extensive background investigations. Must be in good physical condition with weight proportionate to height.
