Position Title: Administrative Technician II
Reports to/Department: Community Development Director/Community Development
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Hiring Range: $23.63 – $28.36 Hourly
Pre-Hire Requirements: This position requires passing a criminal background check and Motor Vehicle Records Check.
Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Community Development Director this position provides administrative support to all members of the department. This position performs the following duties: receptionist, answering calls, greeting customers, report generation & analysis, managing files, reviewing fee structures and related regulations, managing data bases, processing invoices, assisting the Director with department budget administration, and other support functions as needed by staff.
Required Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required, degree in related field preferred.
- Three to five years or more of administrative experience or relevant education and training.
Position Type and Expected Work Hours: This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with a typical 8-hour day, flexible between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Regular, predictable, and dependable on-site workplace attendance is an essential function of the job, however flexibility in scheduling is supported. Once fully trained, may telecommute ½ or 1 day weekly depending upon meetings & projects. Attends Planning & Zoning Committee meetings (1st and 3rd Tuesday at 6 p.m.), and various committee meetings that typically occur during regular business hours.
