Short-Term Rental Code Compliance Officer

The Town of Truckee Short-Term Rental Division is looking to hire a community-minded Code Compliance Officer to address code compliance issues which result from short-term rentals (STRs). Under general supervision, the STR Code Compliance Officer will investigate and resolve complaints regarding short-term rental compliance and help ensure STRs are operating in accordance with the STR Ordinance. Regulation of the STR Ordinance is intended to strike a balance between welcoming visitors to Truckee while reducing neighborhood nuisance issues associated with STR properties.

Our Division is looking to hire a professional who is passionate about Truckee’s community values and is a creative problem-solver. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a willingness to resolve complicated code compliance cases and knowledge of the basic principles, methods and techniques of code violation investigation and compliance.
