POSITION PURPOSE: 
Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, this position focuses on the retention of talented teams by promoting and administering Vail Health’s benefit programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
-Coordinates and supports implementation and administration of compensation and benefit programs.
-Explains benefit plans, costs, and procedures to employees in group and individual discussions.
-Manages enrollments, terminations and qualifying event processes.
-Administers benefit billing and administration as directed.
-Assists in the creation of materials for benefits and compensation initiatives.
-Responsible to monitor, control, report on and support data integrity for all areas of rewards.
-Compiles data for annual audits, filings and other initiatives.
-Communicates timely and effectively to all levels of employees when issues arise; handles group communication effectively, hearing all sides of issues and demonstrating a calm, reassuring approach to addressing concerns.
-Completes benefits survey participation and keeps benchmarking data up to date with the newest information.
-Researches areas of interest for the organization’s total rewards benefits and incentives.
-Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
-Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

2 years of human resources experience in a fast paced environment preferred.  Emphasis in benefits or compensation administration preferred.
Solid technical and analytical skills, solid problem solving and ability to work as a team member as well as independently.
Knowledge of personnel and labor laws.

License(s):

N/A

Certification(s):

PHR or SHRM CP preferred.

Computer / Typing:

Experience with Excel strongly preferred.
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Education:

Bachelor degree preferred.
