The Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC) is seeking a motivated professional for a full-time position as a Box Office Manager. The Box Office Manager is responsible for managing the VPAC Box Office services. This position is also responsible for coordinating the VPAC volunteer scheduling. One of the main roles of this position is to maintain a high level of excellence for the day-to-day VPAC box office operations.
This position reports to the Director of Ticketing and offices out of the VPAC box office year-round.
Work schedules will vary greatly depending on events including evenings, weekends, and holidays as requested.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage VPAC day-to-day box office operations, including hiring, training, scheduling of box office staff.
- Manage payroll and all Human Resources needs for part-time VPAC staff.
- Communicate volunteer needs; manage scheduling and changes.
- Field customer complaints & filter to appropriate departments as necessary.
- Become fluent in all aspects of AudienceView ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the Director of Ticketing on tasks such as reporting, performance configuration & event settlement.
- Assist management in pricing strategy: subscriptions, packages, zoning, promotions, etc.
- Execute proper cash handling and revenue control procedures.
- Ensure marketing materials are up-to-date and properly displayed outside the box office.
- Manage donor ticketing fulfilment.
- Run customer lists and custom reports as requested in coordination with the Development department.
- Troubleshoot ticketing system as needed.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests and work with internal team to resolve any issues.
- Manage outreach reservations (Vail Resorts Club tickets, concierge tickets, shuttle services, community groups).
- Primary point of contact for venue partner ticket requests.
- Formatting & printing event programs when needed.
- Coordinate with Marketing Manager to ensure accuracy of customer facing data.
- Use Rosterfy scheduling platform to communicate scheduling needs to volunteers, run reports & manage scheduling changes.
- Ensure volunteer staffing matches event needs.
- Coordinate with Theater Operations Manager to determine rental event staffing needs.
- Assist part-time front of house staff with customer problem resolution.
- Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000 based on experience
