PROGRAM MANAGER, PWRHRS | YOUTHPOWER365

The Vail Valley Foundation’s YouthPower365 is seeking a dynamic youth-development professional to serve as YouthPower365’s Elementary Program Manager. This position will be responsible for executing our mission “to inspire, educate, and empower youth and families” within our K-5 programs both after school and in the summer. The Elementary Program Manager will be pivotal in implementing high-quality programs for children that span academics, social-emotional learning, enrichment, and physical activity. This includes daily support for teachers, staff, and students across six to eight school sites within the Eagle County School District during programming.

The position will make sure each location has what they need to serve children and families. This includes managing all the logistics of a robust program. The manager must also maintain good relationships, inform program plans, create and provide curriculum. Additionally, the manager will assist with onboarding and creating professional development opportunities. The manager will also promote and advocate for a positive learning environment for teachers and students. A qualified candidate will have experience in education and expanded learning programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports

  • Support teachers and staff in daily implementation of programs
  • Collaborate with other program managers for programming and scheduling
  • Ensure supplies, curriculum, and program plans are up to date and effective
  • Interact with various school district staff on other program needs

Communication

  • Communicate with YouthPower365 and Eagle County School District staff daily

Invoices and Payments

  • Manage payments with accuracy (collecting, entering data, and submitting deposit slips)

Partnerships

  • Work collaboratively with other youth serving organizations
  • Maintain quality relationships with school and district staff
  • Engage others in outside opportunities for students

Supplies and Curriculum Organization

  • Manage supply inventory at each school site and storage inventory

Logistics

  • Support scheduling and site needs daily
  • Assist in onboarding, orientation, and training of staff

Other

  •  Guide program improvements and evaluation
  • Inform curriculum
  • Other tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA degree or equivalent experience in education and/or nonprofit organizations
  • Highly organized, and able to balance the schedules and needs of multiple stakeholders and site locations
  • Strong problem-solving skills, while being able to adapt and be creative when changes occur
  • Knowledge of public school and OST (out of school time) programs
  • Strong background in education of both children and adults
  • Previous experience working and excelling in a fast paced, multi-level, project-based environment with emphasis on timelines, quality, and delivery
  • Capable of remaining focused and calm under stressful situations
  • Proven ability to make critical decisions independently and with little supervision
  • Team approach and willingness to assist others when called upon
  • A strengths-based approach to children and families
  • Experience with successful collaborative projects
  • Proficiency with a variety of technology and understanding of computer applications
  • Conversational in Spanish and English (preferred)
  • Experience with implementation of Project Based Learning and STEM curriculum

BENEFITS:

This is a salaried, full time year-round position eligible for all VVF employment benefits.  The hiring range for this position is $60,000 – $65,000 annually.
