SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing the results of effective content marketing objectives, strategies, and tactical programs in support of strategic marketing plans of Vail Valley Partnership and the Vail Valley business community. This position is responsible for managing and developing content for a variety of mediums that align with the Partnership brand identity and expectations, in addition to the management of websites, social media, and communication efforts. This position supports the work of the entire VVP team and assists with responding to member benefit inquiries.
This is a full-time position with a results-oriented, flexible work environment that reports to the Director of Membership. Support at some evening events is required.
VAIL VALLEY PARTNERSHIP OVERVIEW
Vail Valley Partnership (VVP) is the regional chamber of commerce, dedicated to the economic vitality of the Vail Valley. The Vail Valley Partnership oversees the following brands: Vail Valley Partnership, Visit Vail Valley, Vail Valley Works, Vail Valley Means Business, CareerWise Eagle County and EGE Air Alliance. The marketing manager position supports marketing efforts for all Vail Valley Partnership brands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Develop and Oversee Communication and Marketing Strategies
- Lead organizational storytelling and support the team’s efforts to articulate the value proposition for chamber membership in the VVP
- Ensure consistency of VVP branding and ensure that all marketing and communication activity adhere to the brand positioning and culture of the organization
- Collaborate with VVP team on messaging related to VVP programs and events
- Promote the Vail Valley as a premier destination to visitors
- Work with media partners to ensure paid advertising is within budget and executed in a timely manner
- Maintain best practices related to traditional and online marketing efforts and conduct research as necessary
- Prepare and present marketing plans and results to the VVP team and key partners
2. Produce Graphics and Other Collateral
- Responsible for the creation of graphics to be used in both digital and print media
- Produce collateral for the organization including but not limited to the Annual Report, membership brochures, Vail Valley Works flyers, and CareerWise Apprenticeship packets
- Produce short-form video content created for use on social media
3. Manage Newsletters, Websites and Social Media
- Coordinate with VVP staff and chamber members for weekly e-newsletters and quarterly destination e-blasts
- Manage all website content for VVP brands
- Manage social media communications, both business-to-business and business-to-consumer
4. Fulfill Member Marking Benefits
- Attend member meetings to discuss marketing benefits available to chamber members
- Work with chamber members to promote their organization through VVP channels
QUALIFICATIONS
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field; or one to two years of related experience and/or training
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in graphic design, website management, and social media management
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional who has exceptional organizational and time management skills. They should have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing materials. They should be a self-motivated individual who can work independently but also can collaborate with a team.
Preference will be given to candidates with deep knowledge of the Eagle River Valley.
Preference will also be given to candidates fluent in both English and Spanish.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Vail Valley Partnership has a ROWE (results-oriented work environment) meaning the emphasis shifts from how and when work is done to the results delivered. ROWE will begin for the Marketing Manager position after an appropriate training and onboarding period.
