We’re looking for a Mid-Level Maintenance Engineer to bring their expertise and problem-solving skills to The St. James Place in Beaver Creek. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our resort in top shape-repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting essential systems, from HVAC and plumbing to irrigation and utilities. Your work will ensure a well-maintained property, enhancing both the guest experience and the longevity of our facilities. What You’ll Do:
- Inspect & Maintain – Regularly assess HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems to keep operations running smoothly.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance – Handle routine upkeep, including pool and hot tub care, special project installations, and timely repairs.
- Troubleshoot & Repair – Diagnose system or equipment failures, research solutions, and implement effective fixes.
- Recommend Improvements – Suggest updates or upgrades to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the guest experience.
- Optimize Maintenance Systems – Assist in implementing and using preventive maintenance software to track asset upkeep and coordinate with management and staff.

Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round
Pay Rate: $27 – $30/hour DOE
Schedule: Three day shifts and two PM shifts (1:30pm – 10:00pm)

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Engineering Expertise: A strong understanding of engineering principles applicable to facilities maintenance.
- Analytical Skills: The ability to assess building systems and structures, identify current or potential issues, and provide effective recommendations.
- Self-Motivation: A proactive approach to recognizing problems and implementing solutions independently.
- Qualifications:Any one of the following:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
- A certificate from a college or trade school in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a similar field, along with 3-6 months of related experience and/or training.
- A licensed or apprentice plumber or HVAC repair technician.
Troubleshooting Skills: The ability to resolve issues using readily available materials and independent research.
