Salon Manager/Hairstylist

Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist / Salon Manager to join our organic spa and salon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetology/hairstyling, leadership skills, and a passion for clean beauty. This position will be commission based with supplemental hourly pay. Ideally, you already have an existing clientele in the Vail Valley—or the passion and drive to promote yourself and build your books.

You will be operating in a spa and salon environment alongside other services such as facials, massage, eyelash extensions, and more. We also service a large wedding styling clientele and are looking for someone open to styling weddings.

Duties
Hair Stylist Responsibilities

Provide high-quality hair styling services including cuts, colors, and treatments tailored to individual client needs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition.
Deliver outstanding customer service by building rapport with clients, understanding their preferences, and providing professional advice on hair care products.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and beauty treatments through continuous education and training.
Must learn our organic haircare line and be passionate about clean haircare/beauty.
Salon Manager Responsibilities

Oversee daily salon operations to ensure a smooth and professional environment for both staff and clients.
Assist with front desk operations, including booking appointments, checking out clients, and managing inventory.
Support, develop, and continue our apprenticeship program to help train and mentor new stylists.
Handle client inquiries, feedback, and conflict resolution in a professional manner.
Promote the salon’s services and products through in-salon initiatives and community engagement.
Help with admin work such as inventory, social media, website, emails, texts etc.
Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
On target earnings for the first year: $75,000 hourly + commission + tips

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 – $100.00 per hour
