** Interested in being part of the team to build this? Email [email protected] or send a text to 970-306-5427 to let us know you’re interested. Application is below. With winter around the corner we are hiring quickly. **
Evoke is growing. We’ve brought in new partners and are expanding our specialty shop in Minturn to a second location—bringing the same local, hands-on knowledge and service we’re known for into winter gear.
We want this to be a true local mountain shop—a place where we carry quality gear we believe in, service and tune your equipment, help you find the right ski or boot, and welcome locals and their families whether they’re lifelong mountain people or just getting started.
Our expansion will also allow us to bring uphill and backcountry gear to Minturn, giving our community access to the equipment, service, and local knowledge they need to get outside and explore places like Meadow Mountain right from town.
We’re building a different kind of mountain shop—one centered on great people, real expertise, hands-on service, and a genuine love of the mountains.
This next chapter will feel a lot like working with a start-up.
We’re looking for people who are excited to jump in, help build, and be part of the process. That means all hands on deck—learning and giving input on products, helping develop ordering and store processes, supporting events and getting involved in the local community, and, of course, sharing your passion and knowledge of the outdoors with our customers.
Things will evolve as we grow. We value people who are curious, flexible, willing to learn, comfortable taking ownership, and excited to help shape what Evoke becomes.
STORE MANAGER | FULL-TIME
$65,000–$75,000 + Benefits
The Store Manager leads the day-to-day operation of the shop—including ordering, inventory, team leadership, store standards, and customer experience—while spending significant time on the floor working directly with guests.
Our model is built around quality over quantity. We carry a thoughtful selection of skis, boots, bikes, apparel, and mountain gear chosen because we believe in how it performs and how long it will last. The Store Manager should enjoy helping customers understand their options, find the right ski or boot, and choose equipment based on how and where they actually plan to use it—not simply what we have on the shelf.
We’re looking for someone with specialty knowledge in at least one of our core areas—ski/boots, bikes/e-bikes, uphill or backcountry, or water sports—and a genuine desire to keep learning. You don’t need to be an expert in everything on day one, but you should be excited to learn new products and technologies, including the rapidly evolving world of e-bikes.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves mountain gear, enjoys working with people, and wants to help build a true local mountain shop.
GEAR GUIDE / MECHANIC | FULL-TIME
$20–$25/hour + Benefits
Our Gear Guides are hands-on mountain people who enjoy helping others get outside. You’ll work directly with guests to understand what they need, recommend the right equipment, support rentals and service, help with shop operations, and share your knowledge and enthusiasm for the outdoors.
We’re looking for people with experience or strong knowledge in bikes/e-bikes, uphill or backcountry, water sports, ski equipment, or mechanical service. You don’t need to know everything—we’re looking for people who bring expertise in an area and are curious, willing to learn, and excited to become knowledgeable across the shop.
