DISTRICT MANAGER POSITION

COPPER MOUNTAIN CONSOLIDATED METROPOLITAN DISTRICT

The Copper Mountain Consolidated Metropolitan District (“District”) is accepting applications for the position of District Manager.  Interested persons should submit a resume and statement of interest to Tom Malmgren, President of the District Board of Directors at tmalmgren@coppermetro.org or Abigail Tietjen, District Board member at large at abigailt@coppermetro.org. The District is looking for a qualified candidate that possesses strong management and communication skills and a keen understanding of the role and importance of water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems, television and internet services, road maintenance services, public policy, and special district responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A Bachelor’s degree in planning and public policy, engineering, public administration, business administration; or an equivalent combination of training and work experience is required.  A Master’s degree in public administration, business administration or a closely related field of study is preferred.

·       Five years’ work experience in a comparable organization as the Manager or Assistant Manager; a comparable management position with at least five years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and work experience is required.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

The District offers a generous benefits package including 457 retirement plan, considerable paid time off, and excellent health insurance benefits.  The salary range for the District Manager position is between $130,000 and $200,000 depending upon qualifications and experience.
