  • Data Entry: Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.  Prepare or maintain employment  records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
  • Onboarding: Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition and positive       experience within the organization.
  • Recruitment / Pre-Employment: Manages an inclusive and equitable recruitment process including advertising, attending job/career fairs, processing applications and completing all pre-employment processes in a timely manner.
  • Benefits: Responsible for monitoring eligibly and administration for all employee benefits and insurances such as health & dental, disability, life, retirement benefits, flexible spending accounts, work comp and COBRA; periods accordingly.
  • Help build our HRIS system and reporting

The EVTA was formed by a vote of the registered electors of the Town of Avon, Town of Eagle, Town of Minturn, Town of Red Cliff, Town of Vail, Beaver Creek Metropolitan District, and Eagle County in the November 8, 2022. The EVTA will assume operation of the existing county-operated ECO Transit system; enhance coordination with local transit systems in Vail, Avon, and Beaver Creek; improve air service; and expand and increase transportation offerings throughout the EVTA service area. The EVTA is governed by an appointed 7-member Board of Directors (“Board”).

Salary Range for this position is $28.39 – $39.75. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • A love of transit
  • Ability to accurately maintain and update employee records in HR systems, demonstrating meticulous  attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Ability to develop and maintain procedures for operational success and compliance without much  direction.
  • Ability to learn and follow employment laws, regulations, and policies to ensure all activities, especially  related to hiring, data management, compliance, and program administration, adhere to legal  standards.
  • A willingness to develop and oversee programs such as wellness initiatives or employee events,  requiring strong organizational abilities and project management skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and manage multiple  projects simultaneously, especially important for onboarding.
  • Strong communication abilities to liaise with employees, applicants, and managers effectively. • Technically proficient to make updates and problem solve in a software system.
  • Bilingual: Fluency (writing, reading and speaking) in both English and Spanish is required to effectively  communicate with a diverse workforce and handle HR-related inquiries, documentation, and program  management tasks in a bilingual environment.

Education and Experience Required: 

  • High School diploma and college coursework or equivalent combination of knowledge and  experience.
  • At least two years of related work experience in human resources or a similar administrative  role
