Essential Functions

Position is responsible for the build of our lifestyle vehicles including, but not limited to, exterior and interior component installation, wiring and quality control.  May flex to assist other departments as needed including prefabrication, CNC post processing and assembly. Position reports to the Production Floor Manager. 

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Take a van chassis from a shell to a completed lifestyle vehicle through the hands on installation of fans, windows, wiring, swivel seats, other components and cabinets.
  • Review van builds with a final checklist to ensure that quality controls are adhered to.
  • Engage in continuous process improvement of all assigned roles including identifying more efficient processes while maintaining quality.
  • Assist in prefabrication as needed to insure the cadence of inventory needed for production.
  • Assist in CNC Assembly role to finish component parts in preparation for assembly: includes routing, sanding, inspection.  Build all assemblies consistently to the quality standards and fabrication specifications set by the shop manager.
  • Follow the assembly and build cadence set by the floor managers, track progress accurately and in a timely manner, and coordinate daily to meet the goals of the team.
  • Work closely with all members of the assembly and production build team to ensure organization and cleanliness of all areas, build bays and warehouse.
  • Abide by all shop safety standards.

Communication

  • Daily communication with the Manufacturing Floor Managers to align with build schedule,  van production and required role for optimum productivity.
  • Communicate closely with all team members to ensure safe, quality production standards.

Ideal Experience

  • Some amount of labor trade experience is necessary (construction, landscaping, painting, etc).
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and can read a tape measure.
  • Have a background working in physically demanding environments with attention to safety.
  • Experience with repeating processes and proven ability to improve and find efficiencies.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable working with a variety of power tools and equipment.
  • Must be comfortable working on the roof of a van (8’) using power tools to install fans & solar panels.
  •  Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 70+ pounds regularly.
  •  Must be able to work in a warehouse environment and able to work on concrete floors.

Schedule: 40+ hours/week

Hourly Wage: $25.00
