Hiring Range: $24.75-$29.09. The maximum pay for this position is $33.42.

The Fiscal Admin Specialist combines financial expertise with program knowledge. You’ll handle tasks like processing payments, managing accounts, and overseeing key programs (e.g., child-care assistance). You’ll also ensure clear procedures and act as a liaison between departments and external agencies.

Schedule: M-F, 8am to 5pm

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Oversee the Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) program, making sure reports are on time and staff is well-trained.
  • Process payments, manage inventory, and create reports to keep DHS finances in top shape.
  • Maintain clear procedures and protocols for accurate records and adherence to regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to provide exceptional service.

Some key areas you’ll focus on:

  • Program Coordination: Manage the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) and Automated Random Moment and Reporting Systems (ARMARS) programs between the County and the State.
  • Fiscal Responsibilities: Process payments, manage accounts receivable, and prepare financial reports.
  • Support and Training: Assist with special projects, train staff on procedures, and help the DHS leadership team.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred OR relevant coursework and experience.
  • Experience in accounts payable, general ledger, or a similar area.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) is a plus!
