Role Summary:
Join our team as Talent & Culture Manager and become one of the authors of our story. As part of the Auberge family, you will be responsible for supporting all team members of Hotel Jerome in providing exceptional employee experiences along their Auberge employment journey.

Key Responsibilities:
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their teammates.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Enhance the current recruitment process to attract and retain top talent
  • Work with managers to review and edit  job descriptions, conduct prescreen interviews, make job offers and facilitate background checks under company, state and federal guidelines
  • Post open positions on job boards, build candidate pipeline, attends job fairs and oversees staffing levels 
  • Responsible for assisting with all aspects of the employee visa program including working with sponsors, applications, interviewing candidates and writing training plans for J-1’s and TN letters.
  • Completes the monthly turnover report
  • Partners with the T&C Coordinator to ensure a seamless onboarding process is executed
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, billing/reconciliations, on-going Q&A, FMLA/LOA processing, compliance and handles unemployment claims
  • Administer annual employee engagement surveys and action planning, develop and maintain engagement calendar (recognition, events)
  • Assist with the facilitation and logistics of orientation, Management Development Program, Leadership Training Series content, be a champion of daily rallies
  • Work with the T&C Director on investigations
  • Manager the performance management process including tracking 90 day and annual reviews
  • Foster open door policy for all team members
  • Assist with reviewing progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency
  • Process all incoming data entry including pay rate changes, transfers, terminations etc.
  • Ensure legal compliance with federal and state labor law, (EEO, wage & hour, exchange visitors, regulatory agencies) and maintain records including personnel files and I-9 management
  • Assist with any other T&C responsibilities as they arise

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a human resources capacity; experience in a HR leadership role preferred
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry at a luxury hotel
  • Preferably bilingual in Spanish, verbal and written
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, calendaring and proficiency with data entry, database management and report writing

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to be a clear thinker and remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English with guests/visitors and resort personnel to their understanding
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of  employee information and designated hotel data
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work cohesively with other departments as part of a team and work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to focus attention on details, be well organized and follow up
