Cedar Networks needs a full-time NETWORK ENGINEER
Responsibilities and Duties
You will work with various functional areas on gathering requirements, evaluating, designing, implementing, and supporting a Cisco-based access network and the underlying infrastructure technologies (LAN, MAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, Unified Communications, and Telecom) that will enable the organization to work effectively and productively. You will be working with small and medium businesses on projects and/or full managed services. Some after hours or weekend work may be required. You will be supporting small to medium businesses in our Northern Territory 9 Aspen – Grand Junction.
Qualifications and Skills
• CCNA or CCNP Preferred (or other vendor equivalent)
• 3-5 Years of Network Engineering experience
• 5-8 years of IT experience overall
• Design and installation of small business networks
• Break/Fix support in case of outages
• Analytical Skills: Ability to look at complicated network systems to find flaws or room for improvement.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to create complex blueprints for communication networks, and must make sure the systems will work together.
• Self-Starter: Ability to work well with little direction
• Organizational Skills: Must be able to organize time and work well focused on accuracy and completing work on time
• Customer Service: Must be able to work with different types of clients and keep them informed of progress
