The Field Superintendent is responsible for all jobsite activities. This person is responsible for managing schedules and budgets for multiple jobs and must be able to lead and coordinate the completion of work with all trades.  Please note: a heavy job-site presence is required: you are responsible for controlling access to the job site; directing sub-contractors; managing materials and overseeing all aspects of safety and compliance with local and state site management requirements. Quality assurance and productivity of the trades are paramount to our success. Excellent communication, first class customer service and a high attention to detail are keys to our success and always required.  You are 100% responsible for your jobs, this includes but is not limited to answering calls received any day of the week and providing access to the jobsite for subcontractors on any day of the week, as needed by the timeline for completion of the job.

Job Duties

· Project supervision; management of schedule of work and budget within defined deadlines and limits.

·  Supervise and direct all sub-contractors.

·  Work in partnership with project architects, interior designers, and other industry trade professionals.

·  Maintain clear and professional client communications and document these discussions for further consideration -details may require scheduling updates, budget adjustments and possible change orders.

·  Complete and maintain all aspects of project administration including daily job logs and submit these on a weekly basis.  You are required to document your time on timesheets; submit expense reports and assign cost codes to these expenses.

·  Daily job progress photos are strongly encouraged.

·  Manage materials inventory, including ordering, delivery and staging as necessary.

·  Perform basic framing and trim carpentry duties as may be required to keep the job moving along.

·  Answer phone on evenings and weekends.

 

Requirements

·  Able to read and understand architectural blueprints

·  Experience with local building department & building codes

·  PC Computer skills – Microsoft office suite and Windows 10 operating system / scheduling software

·  Valid Driver’s license

·  Bi-lingual / Spanish language skills a plus

 

Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s degree or 3 years superintendent experience or equivalent work experience

 

Physical requirements

Ability to independently lift and carry 75 lbs

Ability to climb ladders / work at height

Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crawl

Ability to work in confined spaces

Ability to see close-up detail, distance detail and color
