Program Sustainability Specialist

Position Summary: Under the direction of Bright Future Foundation’s Executive Director, the Program Sustainability Specialist will support the mission of the organization by providing administrative and communications support with the goal of creating program sustainability and visibility for the organization. Position is full-time (40 hour) with the ability to work some flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. The Program Sustainability Specialist will provide emergency coverage on the 27/4 crisis hotline on a rotating basis.

Business Systems Coordination Responsibilities (60% of time, approx. 24 hrs/week)

  • Oversees business aspects of the organization including: phone systems, computer systems, printing and reproduction, etc.
  • Assists with human resources, insurance and payroll functions
  • Manages data base systems
  • Generates statistical reports on quarterly basis or as needed
  • Manages in-kind donor database and generates donor receipts
  • Assists with grants management and billing
  • Supports the Executive Director with administrative and board related tasks

Communications Responsibilities (40% of time, approx. 16 hrs/week)

  • Generates and manages social media content
  • Generates and manages website content
  • Generates quarterly newsletter and other communications as needed
  • Creates program brochures and other materials as needed
  • Prepares regular gift reports and run queries in Civicore Donor Database
  • Performs a key role in fundraising events/programs under the direction of the Executive Director
  • Maintains annual report and major gifts campaign marketing materials
  • Generates donor electronic and paper records
  • Attends community meetings to raise awareness of the organization

Additional Responsibilities

  • Advocates a holistic view of healing, focusing on psychological, economic, legal, physical/medical, and educational ramifications of abuse
  • As “front desk” point of contact, creates a welcoming environment for all visitors and survivors
  • Performs all work in a culturally responsive manner consistent with Bright Future Foundation’s mission and philosophy

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated competence with program management, including but not limited to: training, facilitation, collaboration, detailed program planning and timely implementation
  • Strong, proven ability to: mediate differences of philosophy and opinion; maintain calm, efficient, and good humored approach to work while managing competing priorities in a fast paced, highly productive work environment; work independently and as a team member; think critically and with foresight; carry out assignments with limited direction; adapt to change; and be nimble and flexible
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, with ability to assist and train others
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to prepare reports
  • Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations with a judgment free attitude.
  • Familiarity with community resources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, business or related field
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks by Intuit
