POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Officer – Annual Support will further the mission of Roundup River Ranch by implementing diverse strategies of stewardship, cultivation, and solicitation. Working closely with the Director of Annual Support, this individual will create strategies for retention and attrition with both the grassroots and annual giving portfolios. The Development Officer – Annual Support is responsible for a fundraising portfolio. These strategies include special events, sponsorships, individual giving, and other fundraising opportunities that meet the philanthropic goals of our community of supporters.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Develop fundraising strategies that target annual gift giving commitments through management of two portfolios: grassroots and annual giving.
  • Achieve annual revenue targets through developing and supporting Annual Giving strategies which include but are not limited to appeals, cultivation events and third-party events. Engagement with individual donors is also expected.
  • Collaborate with other Development team members to ensure appropriate donor giving category placement.
  • Maintain timely and detailed records of donor and prospect activity in Raisers Edge database.
  • Grow annual giving and grassroots portfolios by engaging in extensive donor solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship activities.
  • Support on-site preparation and execution of stewardship, cultivation, and signature events, including support with our Raise A Little Hell Club events.
  • Follow a moves management process to steward donors, cultivate relationships, and solicit to reach revenue goals.
  • Demonstrate consistent weekly donor contacts and touch points activity.
  • Develop strategies for mailings, ‘thank you’ phone calls, appeals and other direct support of donors.
  • Work in collaboration with Marketing to fulfill of donor partnerships.
  • Actively participate and contribute towards development team meetings and discussions.
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization to identify, cultivate and steward new prospective donors and individuals to support the Roundup River Ranch mission by giving, volunteerism, or in-kind donations.
  • Follow stewardship plan and continue to evolve a communication plan for grassroots in partnership with Marketing.
  • Support on-site preparation and execution of stewardship, cultivation, and signature events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 years intermediate level administrative, sales or fundraising experience
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and exposure to relational databases. Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT, donor database, is highly desirable
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically between Eagle County, Denver, Front Range and other locations to support business needs
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional weekends and evenings to support cultivation events and other social engagements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
