Ski Patrol Director

Soldier Mountain, located in southern Idaho, boasts a rich heritage dating back to 1947. Renowned for its pristine powder, family-friendly atmosphere, and commitment to outdoor adventure, Soldier Mountain offers an unparalleled skiing experience.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.
• Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, providing medical assistance and rescue operations as needed.
• Assist in avalanche mitigation efforts, including snowpack analysis, control work, and hazard assessment.
• Collaborate with backcountry guides on cat skiing operations, supporting avalanche safety, staffing, and incident response.
• Maintain and inspect equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting guests with inquiries and offering guidance on mountain safety.
Requirements:
• Previous ski patrol experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in avalanche mitigation techniques.
• EMT or Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) certification required.
• Strong skiing ability and familiarity with mountain terrain.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
